Digital Shadows Invited To 10 Downing StreetSeptember 8, 2015
Innovation in technology has traditionally been associated with Silicon Valley, the bustling Californian region that has, over the years, served as headquarters to greats like Apple, Google, and more recently Facebook amongst many others. These days, though, a new international headquarters for all things technology – and fintech in particular – is emerging. London, where Digital Shadows was founded and is still based today, has four times as many employees working in the fintech industry as Silicon Valley. Digital Shadows’ CEO, Alastair Paterson remarks “London has been a great place for Digital Shadows to start out given the proximity to the top banks, the available talent pool and supportive Government initiatives like Pitch10. It’s inspiring to see so many other British tech businesses in the ascendancy”.
Interest in London’s burgeoning tech industry is growing so rapidly that even David Cameron has taken notice; at Pitch10, an event at 10 Downing Street to be held on Thursday 31st July, ten of the most promising digital companies in Britain will pitch their businesses to an audience that includes Cameron himself! – “in an effort to bring more well-deserved attention to the sector and facilitate opportunities between start-ups and prospective partners.”. Alastair commented, “We were surprised and delighted to have been selected for Pitch10. We are proud of the start we have made in the UK, helping to secure many key institutions and are now taking our technology internationally with our US team opening the doors to an exciting future ahead for the company”.
