Technical Collections Analyst

Location: London, England

Responsible for the configuration and maintenance of our collection platform, the Technical Collections Analyst will liaise between our intelligence team and our developers in order to ensure that our system continues to collect information in a timely manner, from the right places, and that it satisfies client requirements. The effectiveness and efficiency of our platform is dependent on the quality of our sources and effective configuration of SearchLight™, and therefore this role will be pivotal to our company as we expand. The successful candidate will have a meticulous attention to detail becoming an expert in our system and its capabilities, as they’ll share responsibility for mission critical functions. The role will involve the implementation and development of our Intelligence Collection Plan. This will entail discovering, configuring and maintaining sources for our innovative system to collect against, across a range of surface, deep, and dark web domains. The Technical Collections Analyst will work in our Production Service team alongside configuration analysts and data analysts to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our system through both configuration and capability changes and enhancements. You'll report directly to the Head of Production Service, becoming a trusted advisor on the direction of our technical collection. You will hold the responsibility for the maintenance and coordination of our collection and configuration function.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 1-2 years relevant work experience
  • Ability to manage time effectively, to work under pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organise and prioritise tasks paying close attention to detail
  • Meticulous and rigorous attention to detail
  • Knowledge of internet technologies and website building/hosting (HTML, XML, URLs etc.)
  • Must have clear, concise, straight to the point communication skills,and be comfortable dealing with both internal business and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to manage customer expectations
  • Ability to rapidly learn new software and understand a software product in sufficient detail to input and to suggest alternative approaches to configuration and provide input to development teams to enhance collection capabilities
  • Willingness to learn about cybercrime, threat actors and intelligence analysis

Desirable

  • Experience of Open Source Intelligence (OSINT)
  • Language skills (particularly Russian, Japanese or Mandarin) are highly desired
  • Knowledge of web search, discovery, and monitoring technologies
  • Experience in a high-level scripting language
  • Basic understanding of database or structured query technologies such as SQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle and Postgres

Configuration Analyst

Digital Shadows is seeking a high-energy, creative and experienced Global Events Manager. You’ll ensure events both big and small are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints and delivers the best ROI. The ideal candidate will have incredible passion for planning and executing corporate, industry, and regional events. You are enthusiastic with fresh ideas and the skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance, including creating experiences that connect customers with our brand and drive leads to the sales team. You understand how to collaborate and inspire a range of internal stakeholders, including partners, product and field marketing teams and executive staff. This candidate will be able to customize the event experience and lead generation for industry experts, current and potential customers and partners. This role will report directly to the Director of Marketing.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, manage and execute RSA, Black Hat, InfoSec and other global industry trade shows.
  • Assist the Field Marketing and sales teams with best practices, to help scale field/regional events.
  • Provide the Communications/PR team with logistics support of media and analyst tours.
  • Support the Customer Success team with customer facing events that drives lead generation
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop overall strategy and execute event-based marketing programs to increase awareness, drive engagement for Digital Shadows’ products and services.
  • Own the full life cycle/strategy of events, from targeting audiences, understanding the competitive landscape and developing and implementing the corresponding event plan, including: materials creation, event messaging, contract negotiation, vendor relations, site selection, accommodations, participant registration, agenda scheduling, staffing, on-site set-up, and logistics.
  • Manage metrics that are critical to the success of events, such as event promotions/evaluations and ROI analysis.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
  • Prepare budgets and ensure adherence

Cyber Intelligence Analyst

Location: London, United Kingdom

At the center of what we do is intelligence analysis and we’re expanding our team to complement our London and Dallas-based Intelligence Operations team. As such, we are looking for exceptional analysts to help drive this development forward. Our Cyber Intelligence Analysts will conduct open source intelligence analysis using Digital Shadows’ proprietary SearchLight™ platform to monitor threats to our customers and draft customer-facing intelligence incidents. By doing so, our analysts play a key role in creating general and client-specific situational awareness for our customers to help them make informed strategic and operational decisions to secure their enterprises.

A successful applicant will have 3-12 months of experience in a threat intelligence analysis / operations role. Our Cyber Intelligence Analysts will be mentored in all phases of the intelligence life cycle, and will benefit from having their analysis peer reviewed by experienced team members. We will develop our analysts ability and confidence to deliver clear and concise verbal as well as written briefings, both internally and in front of a client as required. You should have previous experience or demonstrable self-learning relating to source evaluation, structured analytical techniques, understanding of cognitive biases, and be able to make accurate, objective, evidence-based assessments on threats and risks. You should be fluent in working with technology, and the ideal candidate will be naturally inquisitive about cyber security. You should have a good understanding of major international political and security issues, and strive to stay up to date on current affairs. Above all else, you should be comfortable working in, or leading, an operation to deliver and produce results while under strict timelines. Security Analyst

Location: Dallas, TX

The applicant will have significant experience in a prior threat intelligence analysis / operations capability and will play a key part in all phases of the Digital Shadows intelligence life cycle, but with a predominant focus within technical research and analysis.

Job Duties:

The Intelligence Specialist Security Intelligence (SecInt) role is primarily responsible for:

  • Assisting day to day technical cyber threat investigations.
  • Assisting in writing technical cyber threat details in RFI and other intelligence products under tight deadlines for customers.
  • Cyber threat intelligence research including developing new intelligence techniques.
  • Development of cyber threat frameworks and models to meet clients’ needs.
  • Training, education and awareness of technical cyber security.
  • Monitoring and responding to ad-hoc cyber security queries form Intelligence teams.
  • Attending conferences/public speaking events as necessary

The position does call for considerable flexibility, however, and you will be required to undertake such additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.

Above all else, you should be comfortable working in a fast moving technical environment, producing robust and rapid technical cyber threat analysis and assessments in support of both the customer and organisation’s needs.

The role will report to Director, Intelligence.
